Haha I'm so happy! I mean, who wouldn't if you were me haha xD Working in the clinic yesterday wasn't even tiring. There weren't a lot of patients. Only a few who were really in need of MC or otherwise have gone crazy came. If anyone was sick yesterday, I pity them. Because the charge was super expensive! The normal consultation fee for weekends and holidays was $25. Then yesterday there was another $25 surcharge. So all together it was $50, without medicine! It was even more ex from 6pm onwards - another $12 for night consult. Even if you only have a normal cold, you would have to pay $70++ at least. So yea, not a surprise that working yesterday is slacking for me :)
So, not only the hourly pay yesterday was $20/hr (so cool right???xD), I RECEIVED ANG PAO, TOO! The first one came from the doctor. In the morning, when there was no patient at the moment, the doctor just walked out from his room and went, "Julie ah, here's something for you. Happy New Year!", and handed out a red packet, all smilingly. I totally didn't expect this and was super surprised! "OMG Thank you Dr Shee! Happy New Year!!!!^^" He's such a nice doctor right?? I've always been thinking that he's very nice. Not only that, he's also young and tall(180cm?) and rather good-looking, not to mention he's also a doctor. Sadly he's already married. JUST KIDDING!xD and has a small daughter. Occasionally he'll buy medicine from our clinic for his daughter. Isn't it cool to have a doctor as a father? You don't even have to go to a clinic any more. I believe his wife must be living a blissful life too, having such a perfect husband.^^
I was so happy I kept smiling.xD I even told my in-charge(I call her Antie),"Dr Shee zhe me hao de~"^^ Then the next moment, Antie passed me a red packet and said "This is from our company:)" When I was still immersed in the joy, Antie suddenly whipped out another red packet and said, "Happy New Year Julie!! This one is from me:)" WHOA! Again, I was elated and wished her back!
The fourth and the last red packet was the least expected because it came from a patient!O.O Wasn't that surprising! Already charged him crazy consult rate he still gave extra $$. He gave both me and Antie. According to Chinese tradition Antie wasn't actually supposed to RECEIVE an Ang Pao. But that patient insisted even though Antie kept saying nonono~ Maybe because he's an American so he doesn't really know the rule. He just kept going, "This is Chinese New Year and I want you to be happy!" "I don't just give this to you, I also give my employers. Because I want everybody to be happy!" Wow. Nice and generous boss. Dunno which company he's in charge of. Maybe Antie knows because she seems to be close to that American. But I didn't ask.
So my pay plus all the red packets added up to $200+. Haha this is even more than what my mum usually can earn in a day. Imagine my pay's $200 every day, my monthly salary would then be approximately $4500! Even more than a fresh uni grad's salary. Cool ya? Considering I am only a student doing holiday job.
So, Yesterday was perfect.:)
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! Hope everybody has been as happy as me, if not happier!:)

Dariya Palty Hair Dye (Treatment Bleach) Review!
Finally it's the long-awaited post-A Level holiday! Time to do something crazy haha! One thing on the top of the list of things to do after A Level is to get my hair dyed! Okay maybe it is not really crazy but still, I had never dyed my hair before (cuz I'm too 乖 alr haha). The colour I'm hoping to get is a light YELLOWISH brown, go as light as possible but without attracting too much attention when walking on the street~ I also decided on DIY dyeing since it's much cheaper and it's also FUN! So now I'm going to do a review about my first dyeing experience haha~. For those friends of mine who are curious about how the dyeing turned out but haven't got a chance to see me in person in yet, here is the place to come!!! (:
It was quite a struggle to choose the hair dye since there are so many different brands! I ended up choosing between Liese and Palty. Liese is a new technology (I think?) and it is famous in Singapore. It is also really convenient (my mum used it). But its colour seems to fade after a while. I heard that Palty's colour is brighter and lighter since it contains bleach, so this is the key determining factor that made me chose Palty in the end. (:
Palty has 3 kinds of bleach-containing hair dye: Sparkling blonde, Hard bleach, and Treatment bleach. I chose Treatment Bleach(- Natural Brown) because though I would want an obvious tone, I also wouldn't want to end up becoming one of the attention-seeking freaks out there (LOL just kidding~ I actually admire their attitude. Some girls look really pretty in light blonde.)
I was excited but also scared at the same time about the dyeing because I was afraid that I would screw it up, or my hair would be severely damaged, or the colour would turn out too dark (which doesn't match the holiday spirit), or it would turn out too light (which makes me can't go out of my house), etc etc. Overall I'm a worrisome person. (:
But most of the worries were unnecessary. It was really simple. Just mix the cream with a solution then apply everything on your hair. Thanks to my mum who helped me with most the dyeing job. I heard 1 bottle is only enough for shoulder-length hair so I bought 2 bottles just in case. So the amount was ample. There was the smell of ammonia but it was really bearable. I spent 20min dyeing and then 35min for the colour to develop. And TADA! HERE IS THE RESULT:
The colour was surprisingly even, and rather bright too. My hair also felt smooth after the dye. Not frizzy, brittle whatsoever and no split ends (so far at least)~ It is almost salon standard. (: As for the colour, it was not 100% what I hoped for. ): I would prefer it to be more yellowish rather than orangy. And also go a little lighter (and crazier xD). But this is just my personal preference. The colour itself is still beautiful. I think this colour is perfect for those who want a very VISIBLE yet not too exaggerated dye. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends and I'll use Palty again, too! Maybe go for hard bleach next time haha xD
So what d'ya think? Comments, please? :)
